6. AI and automated tools
We may use artificial-intelligence and automation tools to help extract and organize information, summarize resumes or communications, identify potential matches, research companies or professional profiles, classify records, draft messages, create or edit media, translate content, and support other operational tasks. These tools may be provided by third parties.
57 Works is responsible for how it uses the outputs of these tools. We do not intend to make material candidate-selection, placement, or engagement decisions solely through automated processing without meaningful human review. Automated outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and should not be treated as the sole source of truth.
We limit information submitted to AI providers according to the task, our contractual settings, and reasonable business needs. No information provided to 57 Works LLC will be provided to AI models for use in training.
7. When we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Clients and prospective clients. We may provide candidate or contractor profiles and related evaluation information when reasonably relevant to a potential or existing opportunity. We do not authorize recipients to use that information for unrelated purposes.
- Candidates and contractors. We may provide information necessary to evaluate or administer a client opportunity or engagement.
- Service providers. These may include providers of cloud hosting and storage, email and collaboration tools, applicant or customer management, assessments, analytics, advertising, contact enrichment, sourcing, scheduling, payments, accounting, legal services, security, media production, translation, and AI-assisted tools.
- Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other authorities when reasonably necessary or legally required.
- Business transaction participants. Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
- Other parties at your direction or with your authorization.
We do not sell personal information for money. Certain disclosures of cookie identifiers or online activity to advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted-advertising disclosure under some privacy laws. Where applicable, we will provide the legally required notice and opt-out mechanism.
8. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Our website may use necessary, functional, analytics, and advertising technologies. These technologies can remember settings, measure traffic, understand campaign performance, prevent misuse, and help deliver or measure advertisements—including retargeting advertisements on Google, YouTube, or other platforms.
Before publishing this Policy, 57 Works will identify the technologies actually deployed and implement any required consent banner or preference controls. You may also be able to control cookies through your browser and advertising preferences through the relevant platform. Blocking certain technologies may affect website functionality.
9. Legal grounds and consent
Depending on the applicable law and context, we process information with consent; to take steps requested before entering a contract; to perform or administer a contract; to comply with legal obligations; and for legitimate business purposes that are not overridden by applicable privacy rights. Where the law requires consent—such as for certain advertising technologies, sensitive data, promotional recordings, or particular communications—we will request it separately.
Consent is voluntary unless the information is necessary to provide a requested service or administer a relationship. Withholding optional consent will not by itself affect a candidate’s or contractor’s eligibility for opportunities.
10. Colombia privacy rights and authorization
For individuals in Colombia, we process personal data in accordance with applicable Colombian data-protection requirements, including Law 1581 of 2012 and its implementing rules. Subject to applicable exceptions, data subjects may:
- Know, access, update, and correct their personal data.
- Request proof of the authorization provided, except where authorization is not legally required.
- Be informed, upon request, about how their data has been used.
- Present complaints to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio after completing any required direct consultation or claim process with 57 Works.
- Revoke authorization or request deletion when legally available and when no legal or contractual obligation requires continued processing.
- Access their personal data free of charge as provided by applicable law.
When we request authorization, we will identify the processing purposes and any optional sensitive information. Individuals are not required to authorize the processing of sensitive data except where permitted and voluntarily authorized by law.
To submit a consultation or claim, contact admin@fiftysevenworks.com with your name, contact information, relationship to 57 Works, request, and enough detail to identify the relevant records. We may verify your identity before acting. We will respond within the periods required by applicable law.
11. International processing and transfers
57 Works operates across the United States and Colombia and uses service providers that may process information in other countries. Personal information may therefore be transferred, transmitted, stored, accessed, or otherwise processed outside the country where it was collected, including in the United States.
Where required, we obtain authorization or use another lawful mechanism for international transfers or transmissions and require service providers acting on our behalf to process information for authorized purposes, maintain confidentiality, and apply appropriate safeguards.
12. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including maintaining recruiting and placement records, considering individuals for future opportunities, administering contracts, supporting clients and contractors, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting tax or legal requirements, and maintaining appropriate business records.
Retention periods vary by record type and relationship. We consider the amount and sensitivity of the information, the purposes and continuing relevance of the record, legal and contractual obligations, limitation periods, security risk, and whether the information can be deleted, aggregated, or de-identified.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, authentication, vendor management, backups, logging, staff or contractor confidentiality obligations, and secure cloud services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, information about processing, or withdrawal of consent, and to object to or opt out of certain marketing, targeted advertising, sales, sharing, or automated processing.
To exercise a privacy right, contact admin@fiftysevenworks.com. We may verify your identity and request information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant records. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against anyone for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Marketing communications: You may unsubscribe through the link in a marketing email or contact us. We may continue to send non-promotional messages relating to an application, engagement, contract, security issue, or requested service.
15. United States state privacy notices
Some US state privacy laws apply only when a business meets specified thresholds or engages in specified activities. If and when such a law applies to 57 Works, eligible residents may receive additional rights and disclosures. We will update this Policy and implement applicable request and opt-out methods as our operations, jurisdictions, and legal obligations evolve.
California note: The California Consumer Privacy Act generally applies only to for-profit businesses doing business in California that meet statutory revenue, data-volume, or data-sale thresholds. 57 Works must reassess applicability as it grows.
16. Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for adults and business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly recruit or contract with individuals under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
17. Third-party services
Our communications, website, advertisements, or materials may link to third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. We encourage you to review those notices before providing information.
18. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, services, or legal obligations. We will post the updated version at fiftysevenworks.com/privacy-policy and revise the “Last updated” date. If required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for a material change.
